Dear Fellow Conservationists,

This Giving Tuesday, I urge you to give to the National Conservation Foundation (NCF)’s Next Generation Leadership Campaign. As the executive director of the Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD) since 1998, I’ve experienced firsthand the importance of equipping leaders within our districts.

Over the years, we’ve experienced great success through the MASWCD Leadership Institute. Through a 12-month leadership program for district officials, employees and partners, we are not only investing in our members but are providing them with the necessary skills and leadership tools to advance the district mission. I am so impressed when I see alumni from our institute in Minnesota carry themselves and their entities into new levels of leadership. These leaders execute a vision for their district and the association with ethics and collaboration in mind at local, state and national levels.

I wish the same level of success for the NCF’s leadership program, which will be launched in San Antonio, Texas, during NACD’s Annual Meeting Feb. 2-6, 2019. This program will provide energy to allow the conservation district movement to transition into the future.

Again, I encourage you to donate to the Next Generation Leadership Campaign this Giving Tuesday to invest in the future of conservation.
