It’s time to plan your trip to Denver for NACD’s 2017 Annual Meeting, and that means – for many of our members and partners – flying into the Denver International Airport and taking a car, train, bus, or shuttle to the Sheraton in downtown Denver. The NACD team put together a quick cheat sheet for traveling around Denver (check it out below!) and a whole list of transportation resources here on our website.

NACD has something planned for each evening while you’re in Denver. If your Sunday night is free, we highly recommend you register to attend NACD’s screening of “Unbranded” and the panel discussion on wild horses and burros to follow.

On January 29, 2017, NACD is hosting a screening of the documentary “Unbranded” – the story of four young men who traveled over 3,000 miles from the Mexican border to Canadian customs on the backs of wild mustangs. You can watch the movie trailer here.

After the screening, Ben Masters, one of the stars of “Unbranded,” will sit on a panel with NACD Nevada Board Member Jake Tibbitts, and BLM’s Kristin Bail to discuss the management of wild horses and burros living on public lands across the American West. If you’re not familiar with the topic, read this recent blog post authored by NACD’s leadership for an honest account of the situation. (In a few words, the overpopulation of wild horses has created a highly complex management issue – not unlike invasive species – that desperately needs resolution.) Join the conversation on Sunday to hear from some of the most influential voices on the topic and to learn how you can get involved.

Sincerely,

The NACD Team
